About

AVS_0171-500-2Christopher J. Rooney was born in New York City and now resides along the Tomorrow River in Central Wisconsin.  As the principal of the Law Office of Christopher J. Rooney, he concentrates on copyright, trademark and photography law.

He began his career as an attorney litigating corporate and intellectual property matters at two international law firms in New York City.  Building upon his experiences in the corporate law arena, he then co-founded and served as general counsel for a successful website localization company.

The goal of his law practice is to handle each matter with the level of attention and professionalism demanded by the most sophisticated clients, but with the responsiveness and cost-efficiency lacking at larger law firms.  To supplement the services offered to his clients, he has cultivated relationships with other law firms and legal practitioners that complement the legal services offered by his firm.

His passions for photography, music and Jim Harrison books help him to appreciate the complex creative process and the importance of protecting one’s work.  His concern for the environment motivates him to support and work with such organizations as the Friends of the Tomorrow/Waupaca River, the Ice Age Trail Alliance, Tomorrow’s Watershed and the River Alliance of Wisconsin.  He currently lives in Central Wisconsin with his wife, two children and two dogs.
